“Nobody is happy in the fitness center”

One of my best employees told me this yesterday. She’s been working in the fitness center for almost three years.

“The employees?” I asked.

“No, the people who come in,” she responded. “I always say ‘Hi, how’s your day?’ and they never give me much of a response. Sometimes they don’t say anything.”

She went on: “I like working down here (in the Performance Center) better. Everyone’s happy.”

I have my hypotheses as to why this is, but I’ll let you posit your own.
