I no longer remember my first day of classes as a college freshman, but I do remember my first months.
I remember feeling like I didn’t fit in. I remember thinking that college might not be for me. I remember making fictional plans to drop out. This, despite the fact that I went to college only 45-minutes from home.
It got much easier, but still, I wish someone had said to me, “How are you, being so far away from everything you used to know?”
