I hear a lot of student-athletes say, “I want to join SAAC because it will look good on my resume.” Not true.
Things that look good on a resume are things that you did, not meetings you sat through. If SAAC helps you organize and event, speak up, take initiative, and make our athletic department a better place, fantastic. But if SAAC is just another meeting for you to sit through you might as well be watching Netflix.
Employers don’t care that you were a member of SAAC. Employers care that you organized an event like Yards for Yeardley.
